IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a synthetic 83-amino-acid analogue of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and an N-terminal 13-residue extension that reduces binding to IGF binding proteins.
The reduced binding-protein affinity extends the apparent activity of the peptide in cell-culture preparations.
